The oak framed extension was built onto the side of an old Coaching Inn in North Somerset. It brings the house into the outdoor space by adding a versatile living space with access directly into the landscaped gardens. The extension benefits from extensive direct glazing making the space feel light and airy. It also has sliding doors which can be opened wide on those rare days to be warm enough to enjoy the summer sunshine!

The oak frame was designed and constructed by Westwind Oak’s experienced team. The frame was hand made in our Somerset workshop and delivered to site using a local transport company. It was erected using a 13 ton City crane supplied by Reily’s Crane hire. A short video of the frame erection can be seen below.
